Oral hygiene plays an extremely important role in maintain your oral and overall health. We recommend that patients come in for a check up and cleaning every six months. These recall appointments allows us to check for any problems such as cavities and treat them before they worsens.

A typical recall visit involves the removal of any plaque build-up to the scaling of any tartar on the teeth. Next, the teeth are polished to remove surface stains and any remaining plaque, followed by a thorough flossing in between the teeth. Lastly, the teeth are given fluoride treatment which works to re-enforce the enamel of the teeth making them stronger and more resistant to acid produced by bacteria in the mouth

During your appointment our hygienist will inform you on your current state of oral hygiene and notify you of any problem areas that mayneed a little more attention from you at home
